Sunday in the Park with George Inspired by the life of French painter Georges Seurat, SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, follows the painter's creation of his masterpiece in a story that examines what an artist has left to give when he's given everything to his art. In the musical's first half, we see Seurat's epic vision, a huge canvas comprised not of brushstrokes but of colored dots of paint, come together piece by piece. The second half, his modern descendant ( also named George) learns that "art isn't easy" in a cultural scene that values cocktail chatter more than artistic intent.

Thanks to Angelica and the others who are interested in visiting this new theater!! Since the theater website only lists showings for the next 3-4 days, let's meet in the lobby no later than 6:30pm so the group can make a decision as to which movie to see. Hopefully, we'll be able to see a show in the 7-8pm range. When you RSVP, please list which movie you'd like to see (enter in the comments box of the RSVP) Afterwards, if we're up to it, we can go to 7th Heaven, the Pour House, Lola's Saloon for more...

My apologies to all for dropping off the face of the Earth for the last couple of months, but finalizing a major project pretty much consumed me! For this Meetup, we'll be herding together and discussing the joyful life- what are the things that really make life grand for us- that make us want to throw off the covers and jump out of bed in the morning and celebrate! We'll discuss some of our secrets to the good life, then afterwards Cindy will be grilling dinner for everyone as usual. Feel free to bring a dish or beverage if you're so inclined- and if not please come anyway- there will be plenty! Stay and socialize as long as you like and we'll enjoy the opportunity to re-connect with our old friends (that's a reference to length of relationship- no age preference or discrimation here!) and meet some new faces as well! Looking forward to the chance for us to convene, connect and share once more! Cheers!
